The Friends of Parish School
'FOPS' is the Parent Teacher Association for Parish CofE School, Bromley, Kent.
Our main objective is to raise money to buy the extras - playground equipment, art supplies, stage lighting and sound...
But it is also important that we:
- entertain the children
- involve parents in school life
- serve as a social group for parents

This is a very festive event held all around the Parish grounds, with a Winter Wonderland in Forest School! Come and enjoy the chocolate stall, arts and crafts, a fairground ride and of course the hugely popular Santa's Grotto! There are lots of stalls for young and grown and it is an event to really get you into the mood for the holidays. FOPS always need helpers to plan, set up and run this event so PLEASE get in touch if you can lend a hand, it would be much appreciated. Please email our main organiser, Donna Balding at: firstname.lastname@example.org if you can help!
UPDATES ON RECENTLY HELD EVENTS:
FOPS Fireworks Night
Friday 8th November, 2013
FOPS are proud to announce that apart from being a sparkling evening, from a preliminary count, we raised around £3000 for the school which we think is the best year yet! Thank you so much to all our brilliant helpers who ran glow toy stalls, sold hot drinks and treats, ran the bar and music and of course our essential Fire Marshals, we couldn't have done it without you!
The Friends of Parish School (FOPS) AGM
Tuesday 22nd October 2013
The FOPS AGM was quite well-attended by 28 parents and 9 staff but the enthusiasm was very promising! We now have a newly-energised core committee with the new Chair, Secretary and Fairs committee members all Reception parents. The wider school community is still very much active with parent/carers from other year-groups well represented however and we ALWAYS need volunteers for all our special activities that so successfully raise money for the school and make Parish such a lively community! Particular thanks to out-going committee members who have given so much of their time over many years and made FOPS such a success.
MacMillan Coffee Morning
Friday 27th September 2013
FOPS volunteers organised and advertised this fundraiser for the MacMillan Cancer charity. We had a record-breaking attendance and raised a massive £200! Thank you to parents and carers, especially those new this term, who came and also supported this event with your yummy cake donations.
